Dr Oluwaseyi Olanrewaju is a Biochemist and Microbiologist. He holds a PhD degree in Biology from North-West University, South Africa. His research focus spans plant-microbial interactions; plant environmental stress tolerance mechanisms and development; bacteriology; water and wastewater treatment; environmental impact assessment of antibiotics dissemination and underutilized legume conservation. He is an Open Science Advocate and it's adoption in publishing. He is an International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) research fellow (2018) as well as an International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) Arturo Falaschi fellow (2021). He is currently a member of Applied Microbiology International (AMI), the South African Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology ((SASBMB)), the Society for Underutilized Legumes (SUL), and the Nigerian Bioinformatics and Genomics Network (NBGN).
