Brief Biography (English)
Dr. Fredros Okumu is Director of Science at Ifakara Health Institute in Tanzania, and an Associate Professor at the University of the Witwatersrand. He is a mosquito biologist and public health expert working on sustainable approaches for surveillance, prevention, and control of vector-borne diseases. He is also passionate about improving ecosystems for young researchers in Africa. He holds a PhD in Infectious Tropical Diseases from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine he obtained in 2012.
