Dr Chukwuma Bede Okoro is an assistant director, working with Nigerian Institute for Oceanography and Marine Research with its headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria. He obtained his PhD in Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Nigeria in 2014. He also obtained his MSc in Aquaculture in 2005 and BSc in Fisheries in 2000 at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Nigeria. His research interests include fish breeding and nutrition of culturable fish species in Nigeria with special interest on domestication of Megalops atlanticus (Tarpon atlanticus).
