Bolanle Ojokoh is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Systems of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. She is a member of some professional bodies like NCS, OWSD, and ACM. She has mentored up to twenty Masters and seven Ph.D. theses to completion. Her current research interests include Question Answering, Information Retrieval, Filtering and Extraction, Recommender Systems, and Gender Issues in Science and Information Technology. She has participated in some funded projects by TWAS-COMSTECH Research Grant for Individual Scientists and TETFUND Nigeria. She has more than 70 publications in reputable journals and conferences. She is currently an Executive Board Member of the TWAS Young Affiliate Network (TYAN). She was the Scientific Chair for the 2nd International OWSD Conference Nigeria in 2015. She was a member of the PC of the Joint Conference of Digital Libraries in 2016 and 2017. She was the Organizing Chair of the 1st African Symposium and 4th TYAN International Thematic Workshop on Big Data, Analytics and Machine Intelligence, Akure, Nigeria in June 2019. She is the Managing Guest Editor, Special Issue on Big Data, Analytics and AI, Scientific African.
