Dr Babatunde Ojebuyi is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Communication and Language Arts, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Ojebuyi’s teaching and research focus includes communication and media studies, journalism, health communication, media theories and ethics, communication research methods, new media, sociology of communication, development communication, and reading as communication. The author has written books and published well-researched articles in reputed local and international academic journals. He has served as a peer reviewer for some reputable journals such as the Journal of Communication and Language Arts (Nigeria); New Media and Society (United State of America); African Council for Communication Education (ACEE) (Nigeria); Ibadan Journal of Humanistic Studies (Nigeria); The Nigerian Journal of Communication (Nigeria); e-Bangi Journal (Malaysia); Legon Journal of Humanities (Ghana); Sage Open Journals (United Kingdom); and African Security Review (United Kingdom). He is a member of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) among other professional associations.
