Prof Oga Graduated as a pharmacist in 1989 and had hospital experience for 2 years during the internship and national youth service corp programs. Joined the industrial sector and worked in quality assurance, production, good manufacturing practice, and drug supply chain management at both indigenous and multinational pharmaceutical companies for about fourteen years before joining the academia in 2004. The challenges and experiences of the industrial pharmacist motivated me to take postgraduate programs in Pharmaceutical Technology with a focus on drug formulation from using excipients from local sources to improve on the quality, availability, and accessibility of quality and affordable medicines. He Obtained PhD in 2012 and has been passionate about raising the pharmaceutical workforce at both national and continental levels. Have over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and an Editorial Board member as well as a reviewer to many international peer-reviewed journals. The immediate past Head of Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology. Currently as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, direct teaching and learning programme of the Faculty in a bid to contribute pharmaceutical workforce to national and diaspora healthcare systems. As a continuous learner, he ventured into educational planning and administration as well as supply chain management of health commodities (Supply Chain Analytics, Supply Chain Dynamics, and Supply Chain Fundamentals from MIT). A member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS), Society for Pharmacy Education and Research (SPER), Fellow of the Postgraduate College of Pharmacists.
