Brief Biography (English)

 Dr. Idowu Kolawole Odubote (Kola) obtained a PhD in Animal Science at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria,1992. In addition to training received in Animal genetics and breeding. Dr. Idowu Kolawole Odubote trained in Biometrics and data management. While lecturing at the Obafemi Awolowo University, he participated effectively in the departmental programmes through teaching and research. He supervised both graduate research students and undergraduate dissertations. Dr. Odubote comes with a wealth of experience as an accomplished Scientist and Fellow of the Zambia Academy of Sciences and a member of the Herdbook Society of Zambia. He widely traveled attending conferences and seminars and delivering papers at such scientific gatherings. Dr. Odubote joined the School of Agricultural Sciences of the Zambian Open University as a Senior Lecturer in January 2016 and was appointed Dean of the School and member of Senate in July 2016. He led a CTA funded research on Climate-Smart Agriculture and is currently an Independent Agricultural development Consultant and Short Term Expert on GIZ funded dairy milk value chain project in Zambia. He is also consulting for the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock under the African development bank funded on the Climate Resilient Livestock Management project in Zambia.
