Dr Friday Uchenna Ochege obtained his PhD in Cartography and Geographic Information System (GIS), under the joint sponsorship of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), Italy, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China. He holds an MSc in Geography from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and another MSc in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health, which was funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He is currently an Associate Research Fellow at EfD Nigeria. His areas of research include the application of remote sensing, GIS, and machine learning methods to solve environment-related problems. He has published over 35 papers in international peer-reviewed journals in his field of research interest.
