Brief Biography (English)

Dr Anthony O. Obilana was born in Nigeria. He studied Food Science and Technology for his BSc (Purdue University, USA, 1993); his BSc (Agric) (Hons) (1996) and his MSc (Agric) (University of Pretoria, South Africa, 1998) and DTech (Durban University of Technology, South Africa, 2014).

Dr Obilana has been a Lecturer at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa, since 2008. During this time he has been Involved with and Supervised projects in the areas of product development, food processing and food chemistry.

The main focus of his Research includes underutilized crops vis-à-vis sorghum, millet, BGN, and moringa. Dr Obilana is currently Investigating the various characteristics and food applications of Moringa leaf powder.
