Eucharia Oluchi Nwaichi, a traveled Environmental Biochemist at the University of Port Harcourt, runs Environmental Consultancy with relevant stakeholders. Besides her cores, she teaches HSE, Occupational Health and Hygiene, and Science communication at different Centres of Excellence locally and internationally, and has worked in diverse industries so it brings her rich industry experience in her teaching model. Eucharia never waits for a perfect condition to launch her pet studies geared at finding a sustainable, cheap, environmentally-friendly, and safe clean-up strategies for remediation of impacted farmlands and water environments, findings which are well-consumed. Eucharia has contributed significantly to the understanding of the soil-plant-biota interactions and the influences of various farm inputs at remediation of polluted farms and promotes green chemistry. Dr. Eucharia is poised by influencing policies with her science and increasing the space for women in science. She has many online and on-site content and research evidence to influence the globe as a thought leader. She is the President of Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) University of Port Harcourt Branch and has organized several developmental events for colleagues and students, written and reviewed several technical reports. She has received many awards and honors, including 2019 Fellow of Next Einstein’s Forum, Affiliate of the African Academy of Science, 2015 Commonwealth Fellowship, 2015 University of Port Harcourt Merit Award for numerous contributions, 2013 UNESCO L’Oreal International Fellowships FWIS, etc. It is interesting to state that beautiful Eucharia is a young mentor and has extensive experience at science outreach and evidence in a multidisciplinary field approach and has worked with host communities, farmers and stakeholders to develop a phytoremediation model in the parched environment and to educate them on safe agriculture. She was recognized by Leadership Magazine as ‘One of Nigeria's shining lights in the Sciences’ in November 2017 and by Silverbird TV as one of 16 prominent women in Science and Research in February 2018 both of which can be found on google.
