Brief Biography (English)

Prof. Josephine KW Ngaira is a Professor of Geography (Climatology) with a PhD from Moi University Kenya in 1999. Published 45 journal articles, 3 university-level textbooks, supervised over 30 postgraduate students, presented over 60 papers in national and international conferences. He is a member of SIGMA XI THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH HONOR SOCIETY, MKNAS, and International Geographical Union. She has conducted Research with VicRes on biomass energy researching on Climate change and Health in Africa; An IAP Project. The research focus is on; Impact of climate change on agriculture; Health; arid lands, Citizen science, and Non-Communicable Diseases. She has served as Dean school of environment and as Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Affairs at Maseno University and Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, respectively. Prof. Josephine has given 14 keynote addresses on Global climate change impacts and water issues. She serves on many University and College Management Boards, Prof. Josephine has received 25 scientific Awards and attended over 80 conferences locally and Internationally.
