Dr Hudaa Neetoo is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Mauritius.
Her Research interests focus on microbiological food safety. As a young Researcher, Dr Neetoo feels it is important to leverage existing networks as well as forge new regional and international collaborations to tackle globally complex issues such as climate change, food safety and food security.
Moreover, she thinks that it is equally important to maintain industrial ties and to respond to the immediate and long term needs of the food industry.
Dr Neetoo hopes that her academic career will enable her to give back to the community through outreach activities, student mentoring and graduate empowerment programs.
