Dr Ntheno Lentsu Nchabeleng's scope of her current work is multidisciplinary HIV and AIDS Research. Her Research goes beyond behavioral and biomedical interventions and addresses HIV and AIDS problems at their source - the social and population level.
She is currently working on HIV and AIDS as well as Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) communication and prevention strategies for marginalized groups including adolescent girls, young women, and men who have sex with men (MSM) in resource-limited settings in the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
Dr Nchabeleng is also involved in gender-based violence programmes and interventions in resource-limited settings. She believes that to address gender-based violence, we need to disseminate information. This means that the inventory of information on gender-based violence in each respective community is important. This information will help us map the prevalence, implement appropriate interventions, and engage with relevant stakeholders.
