Brief Biography (English)
Gonasageran Naidoo is Professor Emeritus and Senior Research Associate in the School of Life Sciences, University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is a Fellow of the University of Durban-Westville. He served as Head of the Department of Botany and Director of the School of Biology at the University of Durban-Westville. His major research focus is on the ecophysiology of plants in stressful environments, especially on mangroves and salt marsh species along the eastern seaboard of South Africa. He is a recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship from the United States Department of State and the Humboldt Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Germany.
