Jonathan Mwanza is a Public Health Specialist in Health Systems Research, Health Policy and Health promotion. He is currently a PhD Student at the University of the Witwatersrand. His research is about trying to understand health system requirements in the context of rapid Prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) programs policy change in Zambia. The main objective is to explore the perceived effect of rapid PMTCT policy changes in Zambia and assess the health system readiness to absorb the changes. Mr Mwanza's academic awards include the European Union Erasmus Mundus Fellowship and the UNC-UNZA-Wits Partnership Fellowship. The program is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Fogarty International Center, USA.
