Mr Christopher Mwanza is a Zambian youthful scientist born on the 11th of June 1988 in the Kabwe, Central Province of Zambia. Christopher studied Chemistry at The University of Zambia where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry with education in the year 2011. He went to further his studies at Southeast University, Nanjing, China where he obtained a Master’s of Science degree in Analytical Chemistry. Upon completion of the aforementioned studies, he was appointed as lecture and researcher at Zambia’s premium university, The University of Zambia in the year 2016. Mr Mwanza is currently undertaking PhD studies majoring in Chemical Engineering and Technology at Southeast University, Nanjing, China. Knowledge in core chemistry courses including; analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic and biochemistry has certainly enhanced his capability to carry out various research work activities enriched my abilities to work in a diverse of environments.
Mr Mwanza is a person who is rather eager and always willing to learn so as to enrich his educational knowledge reservoir. Further, Christopher has insatiable interest in research as he understands the vitality of it in the enrichment of the scientific knowledge. Christopher is a highly sociable, gregarious gentleman whose character is charming and catches the attention of anyone he interacts with be it at a personal or professional level.
Research Interests
General area of Interest: Development of analytical assays for quantification of various compounds and their respective applications in a diverse of fields ranging from chemistry, medicine, pharmacy, production/manufacturing industries, psychology and more; quality assessment of commercial products; and quality assurance.
Specific area of Interest: Specific area includes, but not limited to, developing methods for bioanalytical/forensic/environmental analyses using separation science and mass spectrometry.
Nonetheless, worth noting is that Mr Mwanza is a very versatile, enthusiastic analytical scientist capable of carrying out, being involved in inter-disciplinary research activities and notably straightforwardly trainable.
