Dr Christine Mwongeli Mutuku holds a PhD in Political Science (Public Policy) from Kent State University in Ohio, an MA in Organisational Leadership and Administration from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan United States, and a BA in Anthropology (African studies) from the University of Nairobi. Her most recent publication is entitled 'Engaging a Data Revolution: Open Science Data Hubs and the New Role for Universities in Africa'. She has published several articles and a book entitled ‘Youth perspectives on their empowerment in sub-Saharan Africa: The case of Kenya. Dr Mutuku is a lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, University of Nairobi where she teaches graduate and upper level undergraduate courses and supervises many graduate students. Her research interests are in research methods (data), youth participation and empowerment, and in applied ethics in Education.
