Ahmad Rufai Musa PhD is a researcher/lecturer at Department of Animal Science Federal University Gashua, Yobe, Nigeria. He is a specialist in ruminant nutrition with vast experience in livestock production in the tropics, biotechnology, nutritional biochemistry and climate-smart livestock production systems. He championed a novel research sponsored by The World Bank and Federal Ministry of Water Resources, Nigeria under the TRIMING project in which for the first time an environmental weed called Typha (Typha spp.) was converted into animal feed for feeding cattle, sheep and goats. He was a visiting scholar in Kenya and Spain. He has worked in the first indigenous feed company in Nigeria (Animal Care) with applied skills and knowledge in animal nutrition and production. He has over thirty publications with a third premium congress paper awarded by the University Of Politechnica de Madrid, Spain.
