Selvarani Moodley is a speech language therapist and audiologist working in the field of early intervention for deaf children at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). She obtained her PhD in 2017 through the publication of 5 research articles in internationally accredited journals. Her research interests include language and communication of deaf children, paediatric diagnostic audiology and early intervention. In addition to audiology interests she is also a speech language therapist with a neurodevelopmental therapy qualification. Her interests in this field include auditory processing, literacy and written language. She is currently the project manager for a national NPO and am involved in the research , monitoring and evaluation of national programme implementation and data management.
