Dr Monapathi is an academic/researcher with skills and expertise in environmental sciences, microbiology, and water quality. His research has focused on analyzing and monitoring water quality of drinking water, surface water, groundwater, and wetlands using Physico-chemical and microbiological parameters. His work has been published in the review in peer-reviewed journals and presented at scientific conference proceedings. Dr Monapathi is affiliated with scientific organizations, namely; South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions, South African Society of Microbiology, and Water Institute of Southern Africa. He is also a Board Member of Bokamoso, a Non-Governmental Organization in South Africa established to eradicated problem poverty and unemployment of youth and women through vocational training, formal education, social assistance, entrepreneurial services, and career guidance.
