Prof Andile Mji obtained a Doctor of Education (DEd) degree specializing in Mathematics Education from the University of Transkei (now Walter Sisulu University) in 1999, under the supervision of Professor Glencross. He has worked at the University of Transkei (now Walter Sisulu University), University of South Africa (UNISA) and Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). In 2005 Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) awarded me the honour of being a Professor. Prof Mji is the former Assistant Dean (Postgraduate, Research and Innovation) in the Faculty of Humanities at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). In 2022, Prof Mji joined the Cape Peninsula University of Technology as the Dean of Education. His research interests range from Approaches to learning Mathematics and Statistics; Psychometric properties of Questionnaires; Quantitative Analytical Methods; Environmental Education; and issues involving Teaching and Learning with Technology. He has extensively published in peer-reviewed journals and supervised a number of Masters and Doctoral candidates. He has also hosted and guided a number of Postdoctoral candidates.
