Brief Biography (English)

Dr Edith Milanzi is a medical statistician at Medical Research Council (MRC) Clinical Trials Unit at University College London (UCL) in London, United Kingdom working within Collaborative HIV Paediatric Study (CHIPS) and European Pregnancy and Paediatric Infections Cohort Collaboration (EPPICC). Currently, her focus is analysis of epidemiological paediatric HIV data from multiple countries including the United Kingdom/Ireland and also pharmacovigilance data on safety and effectiveness of HIV drugs and their long-term clinical outcomes. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology which focused on relationships between exposure to environmental factors such as air pollution on respiratory health in children and adolescents. She also holds a Masters degree in Statistics with a specialisation in Biostatistics from Hasselt University in Belgium. Her main research interests span across environmental epidemiology, respiratory epidemiology, data analysis in longitudinal studies, observational studies, clinical trials and a growing interest in application of data science in health.
