Dr Samantha Meyer is employed at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, where she is actively involved in the teaching and learning of undergraduate students in the BHSc (Medical Laboratory Science) programme; lecturing Anatomy & Physiology to first year students, and Research Methodology to final year students. She holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa As part of her research activities, she heads the Phytotherapy Research Group where she train postgraduate students by conducting research on the antimicrobial, wound-healing and cosmeceutical potential of indigenous South African medicinal plants and their derived nanoparticles. Dr Meyer is an NRF C2-rated Researcher, and is also appointed as an Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of the Western Cape.
