Dr Abdelwahid Mellouki has been involved in Research in Atmospheric Chemistry since 1985. He obtained his PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry at the University of Paris 7, France, in 1989.
Dr Mellouki has been working at CNRS-ICARE in Orléans, France as a Researcher since 1992 - Leading the Atmospheric Reactivity group after spending 2 years as an Associate Researcher at the Aeronomy Laboratory of NOAA (Boulder-Colorado USA).
He is currently CNRS Director of Research at ICARE and National Distinguished Professor at Shandong University (China). Dr Mellouki's Research over the years has focused on many aspects of atmospheric chemistry, including the atmospheric oxidation mechanisms of anthropogenic and biogenic carbon-containing species and halogen chemistry as well as the impacts on air quality and climate change.
