Miss Thandi Mcizana is an assistant lecture in the Actuarial Science department of the University of Cape Town. She is also the Lead Actuary at Liberty Health, where she practices as a healthcare actuary. She was born and raised in Umtata, Eastern Cape and graduated with First class honours and distinction in Statistics for her Actuarial degree from UCT in 2011. She has over 10 years of work experience in the life insurance, reinsurance, and health insurance space. She qualified as an Actuary and CERA in 2015 and specialized in health. She completed a Master in Public Health, specialising in Biostatistics and Epidemiology in 2024.
