Dr Jean Aimé Mbey is a graduate of the University of Yaounde 1 in Cameroon, and holds a PhD in Geosciences from the University of Lorraine in France.
He served as a Secondary School Teacher for 10 years before enrolling for a PhD at the University of Lorraine in France. After completing his PhD he returned to Cameroon and in December 2014 he was selected to serve as Lecturer in the Department of Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Yaoundé 1 where he currently holds the position of Senior Lecturer.
Dr Mbey's Research activity is mainly focused on the chemistry of materials and he is interested in the understanding of the interface/interphase interactions between composite material properties.
He is currently involved in the development of exfoliated/delaminated kaolinite, via intercalation-deintercalation process, for improved use of kaolinite as filler in eco-friendly (nano)composite materials and for environmental remediation applications.
Dr Mbey is the Co-Author of twenty-three Research Articles in Scopus and/or web of science indexed Journals. He also served as a Reviewer for several Peer-Reviewed Journals indexed by the Web of Science.
