Dr. Masasi is an Assistant Professor of Biological Engineering in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Design at North Carolina A&T State University (NCA&T). Before joining NCA&T, he was an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He also previously worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Oklahoma State University, where he collaborated with federal scientists to conduct research projects designed to enhance the resiliency and sustainability of irrigated cropping systems in the Southern Great Plains of the U.S. Dr. Masasi’s research interests lie in developing improved agricultural water management strategies and decision support tools that will ensure sustainable and efficient utilization of water and energy resources while maintaining and enhancing optimum crop production and minimizing environmental degradation.
