Brief Biography (English)

Mr Tawanda Marazani is currently a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering (Research area: Friction Stir Processing of Pure Aluminium), under the Supervision of Professor Esther T. Akinlabi and Co-Supervision of Dr Daniel M. Madyira, at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.

He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Johannesburg. Mr Marazani's Research interests include Friction Stir Processing, Friction Stir Welding, Laser Additive Manufacturing, Impingement Freezing and Engineering Pedagogy.

His Experience spans from serving as a TVET Lecturer in the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and voluntary successful Supervision and Mentoring of 11 BTech Engineering Design Projects, from 2010-2016 in South Africa - to serving as a Lecturer, BEng Honours in Mechanical Engineering degree Programme Designer, Mechanical Engineering Department Establisher, and Founding Chairperson at Midlands State University, in Zimbabwe.
