Dr Thomas Marambanyika is a Senior Lecturer and Chairperson of the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, Midlands State University, Zimbabwe. He has the following academic qualifications: PhD in Geography (University of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa), MA in Environmental Policy and Planning (University of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe), and BA Honours in Geography (University of Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe). Currently, he chairs Midlands State University Research Board. He has 14 years of university teaching experience. Thomas is a member of the Journal of Geographical Research Editorial Team and has been reviewing journal articles for many international journals. His research interests cover the following areas: wetlands ecology and management, environmental sustainability, food security, and rural and urban livelihoods. He has published many articles in refereed journals, books chapters, and a book. Thomas has also attended many international conferences. Moreover, he has been securing local, national, and international research grants. He has extensive experience in collaborative research with other international scholars and experts.
