Dejen Ketema Mamo was born in 1989 in Anstokia, located in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. Growing up in a rural area with limited access to educational resources, he demonstrated remarkable determination, resilience, and academic promise from an early age. He completed his junior and secondary education in the Amhara region, laying a strong foundation for his future studies.
In pursuit of higher education, Mr. Mamo enrolled at Samara University, Ethiopia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 2011. Driven by a strong passion for mathematical sciences, he continued his studies at Hawassa University, completing a Master’s degree in Mathematical and Statistical Modelling in 2015.
He later pursued doctoral training at the Pan-African University Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI), where he completed his PhD in Computational Mathematics in December 2025. His research focuses on applied mathematics, with particular emphasis on mathematical modeling and computational approaches across the life, physical, and social sciences.
Dr. Mamo has made significant contributions to his field, authoring more than ten scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. His work continues to influence multiple scientific domains, reflecting his strong commitment to advancing knowledge and addressing complex real-world problems through rigorous mathematical modeling.
