Professor Tinyiko Sam Maluleke is a Vice-Chancellor and Principal at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). He was a Professor of Theology at the University of Pretoria. He is a National Research Foundation (NRF) rated researcher in the areas of religion and theology. He has published more than 90 articles in peer-reviewed and international journals. He has supervised 7 master’s students and 11 PhD students to completion. Tinyiko Maluleke has delivered more than 170 papers at academic conferences. He is on the editorial committees of several national and international peer-reviewed journals. As a member of the NRF Board, Tinyiko Maluleke is an advocate of science and scholarship in society. In this regard, he makes regular contributions in print, social, and broadcast media. He writes regular columns for the Sunday Independent and the Mail and Guardian. He was a judge in the 2016 Sunday Times Non-Fiction Book Prize, the Allan Paton Book Prize. As visiting Professor and Guest Lecturer, he has lectured and taught at various universities, including Johannes Gutenburg University (Germany), Hamburg University (Germany), University of Lausanne (Switzerland), Duke University (USA), University of Nairobi (Kenya), University of Edinburgh (Scotland, UK), Haverford College (USA), University of Swaziland.
