Brief Biography (English)

Thokozani Majozi is Professor in the School of Chemical and Metallurgical Engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) where he holds the NRF/DST Chair in Sustainable Process Engineering. He is also the Chairman of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria (UP). He is Fellow for the African Academy of Sciences (AAS), the Institution of Chemical Engineers , South African Academy of Engineering (SAAE), Water Institution of Southern Africa (WISA), TWAS Young Affiliate: The African Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences of South Africa (ASSAf).He is Member of the Editorial Board of Chemical Engineering Transactions (CET) and Journal of Cleaner Production;  Deputy Editor-in-Chief of South African Journal of Chemical Engineering;  an Associate Editor for Process Integration Optimization and Sustainability JournalFrontiers in Sustainability Journal and Cleaner Engineering and Technology Journal. He is author and co-author of more than 100 scientific publications, including a book in Batch Chemical Process Integration published by Springer in January 2010. He is also an NRF B1 rated researcher,
