Mr Chipa Maimela has successfully earned himself several educational awards for Provincial National Teacher awards for Teaching with Technology including the Special award from Internet Service Providers Association (ISPA) and further earned recognition for his contribution on Physical Science Blogging for the South African Blog Awards as runner-up for the Best Science and Technology Blog award in 2016, he also became runner as an MTN nominee for Best education solution award and an Incubator award respectively for Physical Sciences Break 1.0 App in 2017. Chipa has also been nominated for the National Science Technology Forum (NSTF) NSTF SOUTH-32 Award also known as the South African Science Oscar Awards on three categories for 2020, which are Data for research Award nominee, Science Communication nominee, and a Special Theme Award nominee respectively.
