Dr L A Magashi (PhD) is a Chief lecturer in the Department of Chemistry and a former Head of the department (2013 – 2017), Kaduna State College of Education Gidan waya – Nigeria. Dr Magashi specialized in Organic Chemistry. Dr Magashi has generally enjoyed A-level student’s instruction in organic and general chemistry. Dr Magashi visited some universities in Nigeria as a part-time lecturer (Kaduna State University; School of Basic Studies, Ahmadu Bello University, Gidan way Campus, National Open University via National Teachers Institutes, Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic Samaru Kataf campus), and he has a long experience as practicing teacher as well as Teachers Educator. Dr Magashi has supervised several NCE and graduate students' research projects in the area of Natural Science and Science Education. He published several papers in reputed journal national and international and presented papers at local, national, and international levels. He has Been as editor in science papers for years and Editor for Forum Academia journal Editorial Board, Acessor for Gidan waya Journal of Education, External Acessor, College of Education Akwanga, Nassarawa State and College of Education Gindiri, Plateau States. Published four Modules in Training Manual on Improving the Quality of Education in Kaduna State. By Kaduna State Government in collaboration with the African Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities (AFTRA), 2nd – 6th September 2019. Dr Magashi received Fellow award as a Teacher, from Strategic Institute For Natural Resources And Human Development in 2013 and Merit award as a Research Fellow Skanda life Sciences Research Centre, Bangalore – India in 2018. His research interest centered on the Natural product chemistry, Clinical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Phytochemistry and Renewable energy (biofuel production from biomass). He has recently picked interest in environmental studies, with emphasis on systems and multidisciplinary approach to development. He holds the position of Deputy Director Academic Planning Educational Support Services, and presently a Director, Research and Innovations, Kaduna State College of Education Gidan waya – Nigeria
