His research interests include Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS), Pyrometallurgy (Chlorination Technology), Hydrometallurgy, and Mineral Processing. He hold a DEng in Chemical Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology, South Africa.
