Brief Biography (English)
Dr Romano Trent Lottering is currently a senior lecturer at the School of Agricultural, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Romano Lottering has been employed at the University of KwaZulu-Natal’s Pietermaritzburg campus since 2012.
Dr Lottering holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. His research interest involves developing earth observation tools that assist in decision-making for improving commercial forest productivity under changing climatic conditions. He has published a number of peer-reviewed research articles and successfully supervised several postgraduate students
Dr Lottering is an National Research Foundation (NRF) rated scientist, registered professional natural scientist (Geospatial Science), a member of the Geospatial Science Professional Advisory Committee of South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) and a reviewer for several national and international Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) accredited journals.
