Brief Biography (English)
Elsabé Loots is a Professor of Economics and Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of Pretoria. She held professorial appointments in Economics at Rand Afrikaans University (now the University of Johannesburg), the University of the Free State, and Monash University. She is a past President of the Economic Society of South Africa (ESSA) and of the South African Commerce Deans Association (SACDA). She serves on the International Advisory Board of the Association for the Advancement of African Women Economists (AAAWE) and she is a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa.
