Brief Biography (English)
Dr. Likhovole's main areas of research include the identification of resistant TB in an area with a high incidence of HIV and malaria using gene sequencing techniques and line probe assays. These techniques will aid in the early detection of both drug-susceptible and resistant tuberculosis in western Kenya. Recently, he has developed an interest in the application of next-generation sequencing platforms in population genetics and hopes to pursue advanced research in a bioinformatics discipline.
