Dr Moagi Letso holds a PhD in Animal Science, University of the Free State, South Africa, an MSc in Animal Nutrition, University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and a BSc in Agriculture, University of Botswana.
He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Animal Nutrition at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN). Dr Letso is accredited by the Botswana Qualifications Authority (BQA) as a Trainer of trainers, assessors, and moderators.
He is an Academician with 16 Peer-Reviewed Publications, seven Conference Proceedings, and three Abstracts. Dr Letso Teaches courses in animal and human nutrition (feeds and feeding), livestock feed processing, feedstuff analysis, ruminant production, fodder production, and nutritional toxicology. He has successfully Supervised or Co-Supervised four graduate (MSc) and many undergraduate (BSc and Diploma) students’ research projects. Dr Letso has Examined four (4) MSc theses.
He was the Team Leader of a project on the use of agro-industrial by-products for livestock feeding. Dr Letso Coordinates field practical training for BUAN students, is a Technical Advisor to Fodder Giants Botswana (a group of Fodder Producers), and has Facilitated a number of short courses and events for various organizations including AgriBusiness Forum Botswana. His areas of Expertise include fodder production, amelioration of low-quality feeds, ration formulation, and data analysis.
