Brief Biography (English)
Prof Aliza le Roux is a Behavioural Ecologist specializing in the cognition and communicative behaviour of small carnivores and primates.
In the mountains of Qwaqwa in South Africa, she also steers a few projects using passive monitoring techniques to describe anthropogenic influences on the ecological landscape and soundscape of montane environments.
Prof Le Roux' Research often addresses the interface between humans and wildlife, and therefore she is Developing a Research Programme into zoonotic diseases of small carnivores, particularly the yellow mongoose and bat-eared foxes.
