Brief Biography (English)
Willem Gabriel le Roux is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Pretoria (UP), where he lectures Heat Transfer and Thermodynamics. He specialises in small-scale solar thermal technologies, especially the solar-dish Brayton cycle. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pretoria . He is registered as a Professional Engineering at the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and is rated as a Y2 researcher at the National Research Foundation (NRF). He is actively publishing in top-quality journals and has an h-index of 10. He has generated national and international funding for his research projects.
