Prof Hendrik Gerhardus (Gert) Kruger is a Research Professor in the Catalysis and Peptide Research Unit of the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. As can be seen from their Publications and Collaborations, the Research Unit is collaborating with various people within the university as well as at other institutions, both locally and overseas. Their current Research involves the synthesis of various potential drugs (malaria, tuberculosis, cancer, anti-epilepsy, Alzheimer's, HIV, etc.). TB and HIV drug synthesis form the largest part of the Unit's activities. They are also involved in chiral synthesis and computational chemistry.
