Dr Herve Mwewa Kibwe is a seasoned scientist with a robust background in cardiovascular physiology, molecular biology, and biochemistry. He holds a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, where his research focused on exploring therapeutic agents for pulmonary arterial hypertension. His expertise spans a wide range of experimental techniques, including real-time PCR, histopathology, and ELISA, which he has utilised in various research projects to advance the understanding of cardiovascular diseases. His work has been recognised internationally, and he has presented his findings at prestigious conferences, such as the International Conference on Clinical & Experimental Cardiology in the United States of America.
In addition to his research, Dr Kibwe has a passion for education and have taught and mentored students at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, contributing to the academic growth of future scientists and healthcare professionals. My professional experience extends to clinical research and project leadership, having worked as a Clinical Research Associate Intern in Canada and as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Diego. Fluent in both English and French, he brings a global perspective to his work, having lived and worked in South Africa, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Canada, and the United States. His ongoing research interests lie in the intersection of cardiovascular diseases and cellular biology, where I strive to contribute to the advancement of medical science and patient care.
