Dr Davis Kipkania Kiboi did his PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), United States of America. His research focuses on tribology, lubrication science, and surface interactions, with particular emphasis on environmentally compatible protic ionic liquids as neat lubricants and lubricant additives. His work aims to advance the understanding of lubrication mechanisms under boundary and mixed lubrication regimes relevant to sustainable transportation and industrial applications.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from the Technical University of Kenya and a Master of Science in Vehicle Engineering from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Hungary. His academic training spans aeronautical, mechanical, and vehicle engineering, providing a strong interdisciplinary foundation in materials, surface engineering, and energy-efficient systems.
