Prof Moatlhodi Kgosimore holds a PhD in Mathematics (Mathematical Biology). He Teaches General Mathematics, Advanced Calculus, Ordinary Differential Equations, Engineering Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics, Bio-mathematics (or Mathematical Biology) and Mathematical Modelling.
Prof Kgosimore's research focus is Mathematical modelling of infectious diseases (human and animals). His current projects are Mathematical Modelling of infectious diseases of humans (HIV, Malaria, HBV/HCV, Ebola), Mathematical Modelling effects of alcohol abuse and associated health risks, Mathematical modelling of animal diseases (Foot and mouth, African human Trypanosomiasis, Cow measles, Brucellosis) and Modelling Covid-19 transmission dynamics and Population dynamics models (crop–pest interactions). A potential research topic of Prof Kgosimore is applications of Fractional Calculus in epidemic models.
