Dr Isabel Kazanga Chiumia, is a Public Health Professional and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health Systems and Policy at College of Medicine, University of Malawi. She has a broad background in research and as a consultant having completed various assignments for the World Bank, The Global Fund, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), HRH2030, United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), Management Sciences for Health(MSH), GIZ, Ministry of Health in Malawi, WEMOS, African Centre for Global Health and Social Transformation (ACHEST), Euro Health Group (Denmark), Thinkwell (Switzerland), Health Focus (German) and others.
Dr Kazanga Chiumia is a member of the Health Systems Global, Human Resources for Health (HRH) Global Coalition, National HRH Technical working Group (TWG), Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi (Executive Board member), Task Force team for HRH Strategic planning and the national TWG team on Quality Improvement in Healthcare. She has published in various journals and presented at both local and international conferences. She is fluent in English has has strong leadership and interpersonal relationship skills
