Dr. David Jimoh Kayode was born in Kabba Town, Kogi State, Nigeria. He holds a PhD in Education from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Malaysia, His research interests center on educational leadership and planning; service quality and performance management; and higher education. Dr David Jimoh Kayode has to his credit, over twenty published articles both in book chapters as well as local, national, and international referred journals. Dr Kayode belongs to various learned professional associations among which such as British Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society (BELMAS); Nigerian Association for Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP); Member, Global University Network for Innovation (GUNI), Barcelona; International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI), Australia; Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management (CCEAM), Australia; Association of Commonwealth Universities (Human Resource Management Network), London. Dr Kayode has worked as a mathematics teacher and examiner for the National Teachers Institute and National Examination Council (NECO) all in Nigeria. He had also worked as an administrative officer in Prototype Engineering Development Institute, one of the agencies under the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, before he joined the University of Ilorin in 2011 as a lecturer. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
