Brief Biography (English)
Prof Mandeep Kaur's research focus is to understand the molecular underpinnings of cancer. She is involved in understanding the molecular basis of cancer by utilizing cell biology, bioinformatics, and molecular genetics-based methods to identify biomarkers for disease diagnosis and drug development and to study the complexity of mechanistic pathways underlying health and disease. Particularly, She is working to understand the role of cholesterol in cancer progression and drug resistance. Part of her research is focused on developing new therapeutics strategies, especially for South African cancer patients.
