Dr Maureen Kapute Mzuza is both an Academician and a Researcher. She did her post-doctorate at North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus) in South Africa and obatained her PhD in Environmental Change from East China Normal University in China.

Dr Kapute Mzuza has been working as an Adjunct Lecturer at Mzuzu University in Malawi since 2015. Currently, she is working with the Catholic University of Malawi as a Lecturer and Researcher in Environmental Studies.

She has 12 Publications in Environmental Studies and Education. She is a Malawian.
