Rebecca Kalibwani is an Economist, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agriculture and Agribusiness, and Faculty Research and Publications Coordinator, at Bishop Stuart University (BSU), Mbarara. She is a Principal Investigator in a project of Youth Agribusiness Incubation at BSU, a project that nurtures youth agribusiness ideas, including climate-smart agribusinesses to ensure that they succeed in an open and competitive market, and provide employment opportunities for young university graduates. She is a project local coordinator for the AgriSCALE project. The Collaborative Action for Scaling Agri-entrepreneurship and Industry Engagement in Food and Agribusiness Training in Sub-Saharan Africa (AgriSCALE) is an ERASMUS+ Project funded by the European Union (EU), and implemented by a consortium of universities; 3 universities in Europe and 6 universities in SSA including BSU. She has over the years been involved in project formulation, development, and evaluation on different undertakings. Her research work includes work in agricultural production, agricultural value chain analyses, policy and institutions, and climate change. She has a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research, good data analysis, with excellent writing skills.
